The facility is gated for security and features dock access suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The marina is located in Tafton and provides a full-service launch point for exploring this popular recreational water body.
Lake Wallenpaupack has multiple public boat ramps throughout the area, giving paddlers and boaters several launch options depending on their starting location. If you're planning to use 1st Klas Marina, contact ahead for current hours of operation and any launch fees, as well as to confirm parking and dock availability. The marina also offers boat rentals if you don't have your own vessel. For alternative access points, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission operates Mangan Cove Boat Launch on the northeastern end of the lake near Route 6.
