The 25 1/2 Street access point (also known as Lakeview Drive) provides public boat launching access to Lake Chetek, a 923-acre lake in Chetek, Barron County. This ramp is suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Lake Chetek has a maximum depth of 22 feet and supports populations of panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye, making it a popular destination for both paddling and fishing.
Facilities at this location include a boat ramp, parking, restrooms, and picnic tables. A water ski site is located adjacent to the boat landing. Daily launch fees are $5.00, or annual passes are available for $25.00 (purchasable at City Hall, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm). Additional services including fuel, marine supplies, and boat repair are available at the nearby Chetek Lake Country Marina. Before launching, paddlers should note that the lake accommodates both human-powered craft and motorboats, so expect mixed-use conditions.
