The 6th Street ramp provides seasonal access to Bellingham Bay in downtown Bellingham. **This is a seasonal facility, open April through October only**, with floats removed during winter months due to the unprotected exposure. The site includes a freshwater rinse station for boats and restrooms in the parking lot, making it convenient for day trips and water access.

This ramp is best suited for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats launching into protected bay waters. Nearby, the Fairhaven Boatworks location (in the adjacent Fairhaven neighborhood) offers an alternative year-round public ramp with docks and free parking, which may be helpful during winter months or if 6th Street is at capacity. Free parking is available for single vehicles without trailers at this location.
