Abilene Sailing Association

The Abilene Sailing Association operates a private boat ramp facility on Lake Fort Phantom Hill, located north of downtown Abilene. The site features a multi-lane concrete ramp with lighted parking for approximately 50 vehicles, along with docks and a clubhouse with restroom facilities. This is a member-oriented facility that caters to sailboats and small watercraft, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters launching on the lake.

**Access & Location:** From downtown Abilene, take FM 600 to the lake, then head east on FM 1082 for about a quarter mile to reach the facility. The concrete ramp and paved parking area are well-maintained and lit, providing convenient access for day-use paddlers and boaters. For those without membership, nearby Johnson Park offers additional public access to Fort Phantom Hill Lake with its own boat ramp, kayak trail, restrooms, and picnic facilities, providing an alternative launch option in the area.
