Located in Wareham, the Agawam Mill Pond Boat Launch offers convenient public access to Agawam Mill Pond and the Agawam River via a concrete ramp at the southern tip of the pond. The facility is suitable for trailered motorboats as well as cartop launching of kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. Parking is available, though spaces are limited (fewer than 10), and shore fishing access is also provided at this location.
For those seeking additional cartop access, Whitlock's Landing off Glen Charlie Road provides an alternative put-in point. The site is managed by MassWildlife and is easily accessible via Route 495 (exit 1), Route 25 east, then Depot Street and Route 6—the pond entrance is approximately 1,000 feet along Route 6. Nearby paddlers can also explore the Massasoit National Wildlife Refuge and enjoy the 14-mile Cape Cod Canal recreational trail system for complementary outdoor activities in the area.
