The Alafia River Public Boat Ramp in Brandon, Hillsborough County, provides convenient access to the Alafia River and connects paddlers and boaters to Tampa Bay. The facility features a single-lane, ungrooved concrete ramp with a courtesy dock for loading and unloading boats and kayaks. There is parking for approximately 10 boat trailers on-site.
This is a non-staffed, county-operated facility with no restroom facilities available. The ramp works well for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats seeking to explore the Alafia River for fishing, paddling, and recreational boating. The river is navigable well upstream toward Brandon, offering paddlers multiple miles of exploration beyond this launch point. Plan accordingly for a self-sufficient visit and arrive with adequate supplies, as amenities are minimal at this location.
