Located in Gibson Park near Jasper, this boat ramp serves as the final access point on the Alapaha River Water Trail before the river joins the Suwannee River. The ramp features a single lane of poured concrete in good to excellent condition, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. To reach the ramp from Jasper, travel southwest on SW CR 249 to SW CR 751, then turn left into Gibson Park where the ramp is clearly marked on the right.
This is an ideal put-in or takeout point for paddlers completing the Alapaha River Water Trail, which stretches approximately 25 miles from Sheboggy Boat Ramp in Georgia. The ramp accommodates both trailered boats and hand-launched craft, though parking capacity for trailers is limited. Facilities appear basic, so paddlers should plan accordingly. The location provides access to the lower Alapaha River's calm, scenic sections before confluence with the Suwannee, making it particularly popular for multi-day canoe and kayak trips.
