About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides access to the Allagash River, a 65-mile wilderness waterway in northern Maine's remote North Woods region. The river flows through scenic, undeveloped landscape north of Mount Katahdin and supports populations of smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, white perch, brook trout, and brown trout. This is an excellent destination for kayakers and canoeists seeking a multi-day wilderness paddling experience through a mix of lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams.

**Important Access Information:** To reach this access point, paddlers must pass through the **Telos Gate**, the main entry point for the Allagash Waterway. Contact the Bureau of Parks and Lands Northern Region Parks Office (207-941-4014) for current gate hours, fees, and access conditions. Maximum party size is limited to 12 people per group, and only canoes and kayaks are permitted on portions of the waterway.

For detailed trip planning, including campsite locations, water conditions, and current regulations, consult the official Allagash Wilderness Waterway Information Packet and contact park rangers before your visit.
