About This Access Site
Alley Creek Park #1 offers a well-maintained boat ramp on the south shore of Lake O' the Pines near the dam, providing convenient access to this massive 18,700-acre reservoir in northeast Texas. The ramp is located in Marion County near Avinger and is accessible year-round with a separate entrance from the adjacent Alley Creek Campground, making it convenient for day-use boaters. The park is an Army Corps of Engineers facility and is noted for being well-maintained with quality amenities.

To reach the ramp from Jefferson, TX, take Highway 49 west to FM 729, turn left, then left again on FM 726. Continue across the dam and turn right on FM 3001—look for the entrance on the right. Beyond the boat ramp, the park features a swimming beach, playground, restroom facilities, and an RV dump station. The campground itself (Alley Creek Camp) operates seasonally from March 1 to September 30, though the boat ramp appears to have extended access. For current conditions, hours, and day-use fees, contact the gate house at 903-755-2637 (hours: 10am-6pm Mon-Sat, 12pm-6pm Sun).
