About This Access Site
Alley Creek Park #2 offers convenient year-round boat access to Lake O' the Pines, a massive 18,700-acre reservoir in the piney woods of Northeast Texas near the Arkansas-Louisiana border. The facility features two-lane boat ramps with an attached dock for loading and unloading, plus ample parking for trailers. A $3 daily launch fee applies. The boat ramp maintains a separate entrance from the adjacent Alley Creek Campground, allowing anglers and paddlers to access the water without campground restrictions.

**Location & Directions:** From Lone Star, TX, take US 259 south and turn left on FM 729 before the bridge at Big Cypress Creek. The ramp entrance is approximately 1 mile south at the intersection. From Jefferson, TX, travel 3.8 miles northwest on Highway 49, then left on FM 729 for 12 miles to the park.

This is an excellent base for kayakers and canoeists exploring Big Cypress Bayou and the broader Lake O' the Pines system. The site's year-round operation and dedicated boat ramp make it a reliable launch point for paddling, fishing, and water sports.
