Allison Landing offers a convenient access point on the Great Pee Dee River in Johnsonville, located approximately 3.5 river miles downstream of the US Highway 378 Bridge. The facility includes a one-lane boat ramp, a metal floating dock for safe loading and unloading, and a large paved parking area—making it well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats.
This section of the Great Pee Dee River transitions from relatively straight passages lined with dense forest to increasingly winding channels with tight bends and sand bars downstream. The area is part of South Carolina's Revolutionary Rivers Water Trail and designated as a State Scenic River, offering a scenic paddling experience. Popular activities include paddling, fishing, birding, and wildlife viewing.
