**Location & Access:** This rustic access point is located on Big Run-Alum Creek in Delaware County, just before the Howard Road Bridge crosses the reservoir. From I-71, take Exit 131 (OH-37 E/US-36 E), then follow local roads approximately 3 miles to the launch area on the left side of Howard Road. Free parking is available at the site.
**Launch Conditions:** Be prepared for creek-bank launching—there is no boat ramp or dock at this location. Expect potentially muddy conditions and more challenging access than developed facilities. The creek flows south with generally gentle current, making it suitable for kayaks and canoes. This access point connects to Alum Creek Lake, part of the larger 3,387-acre Alum Creek recreation area that includes state park, Corps, and state wildlife area facilities.
**Nearby Resources:** The park office (740-548-4631) can provide additional information about paddling conditions and other amenities throughout Alum Creek State Park. A visitor center at the main lake area offers maps and guidance for the extensive recreation area. For more developed launch facilities, Delaware Lake nearby offers alternative Corps and State Park access points with upgraded amenities.
