The Amarugia Highlands Conservation Area offers a concrete boat ramp providing access to Amarugia Lake in Cass County, Missouri. Located on the west side of the lake near multiple parking lots, this access point is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. The lake was renovated in 2014 and stocked with largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, and redear sunfish, making it a popular destination for fishing and paddling.
**Getting There & Facilities:** From I-49/Highway 71 at Archie, take Route A west 5 miles, then Route W north 4.50 miles to reach the area. The site includes a privy and several fishing jetties, including one designated for disabled-accessible use. Disabled-accessible parking and facilities are available throughout the area, making this a welcoming option for paddlers of all abilities. The 1,081-acre conservation area features habitat plantings of native trees, shrubs, and grasses.
