**Location & Access**
The Anahuac East boat ramp provides access to Trinity Bay and Lake Anahuac in Chambers County, near the town of Anahuac. The site is located off FM 1985 and can also be reached from I-10 Exit 807 via the eastbound service road. This is a day-use only facility with no entry fees.

**Paddling & Boating Conditions**
This ramp serves as an excellent entry point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the scenic bayou system and open water of Trinity Bay. The area is known for its diverse wildlife and salt marsh habitat, making it ideal for wildlife viewing and fishing. Alternative water access is available via the nearby Lake Anahuac Trail and Boardwalk (about a quarter-mile), as well as the Turtle Bayou boat ramp. The region's calm bayou waters are suitable for paddlers of various skill levels, and the protected wildlife refuge area adds to the recreational appeal.

**Facilities & Nearby Recreation**
The Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge (formerly Anahuac) is adjacent to this access area, offering excellent opportunities for bird watching and nature exploration. The refuge was established in 1963 to support migratory waterfowl, making spring and fall particularly active seasons for wildlife viewing. Wallisville Lake is also nearby for additional boating options.
