Arkansas Bend Park

Arkansas Bend Park offers two public boat ramps for accessing Lake Travis, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters in the Hudson Bend area. One ramp features a courtesy dock and ADA-accessible ramp, helping to reduce wait times during peak use periods. The park underwent extensive renovations and reopened in June 2019 with improved facilities and amenities.

Lake Travis is a large, scenic reservoir that provides excellent paddling opportunities with access to multiple coves and creek arms, including nearby Hurst Creek, Hatter Cove, and Cunningham Cove. Be aware that water conditions and ramp accessibility can vary seasonally—check current conditions before visiting, as some ramps in the area may be affected by water level changes or debris. There is no lifeguard on duty, so swim at your own risk.

Arkansas Bend Park is well-positioned for exploring the scenic Hudson Bend area, located near the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. The park is actively managed and welcomes volunteers, indicating good maintenance and community support for the facility.
