Located just upstream of the Castle Hill Road bridge and accessed via Parsons Street on the west side of the river, the launch features a dedicated parking area. The ramp is positioned between a railroad bridge and the Castle Hill Road crossing, so watch for the railroad bridge as it appears suddenly around a bend in the river.
This section of the Aroostook River offers excellent opportunities for canoeing and fishing, with plenty of shoreline to explore. The river in this area is suitable for paddlers of varying experience levels looking to fish for trout or enjoy a recreational float. If you're planning a trip, be aware of the railroad bridge's proximity to the launch and plan accordingly. The site provides a straightforward entry point for exploring this Appalachian Mountains waterway, with ample parking for vehicle and trailer access.
