Located in Nekoosa on the western shoreline of Arrowhead Lake, this public boat ramp provides convenient access to a 295-acre impoundment on Fourteenmile Creek in Adams County. The ramp is situated on the southeast side of the lake, just north of Highway 21, near where the dam returns water back into Fourteenmile Creek. This is a straightforward, developed access point suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats.
Arrowhead Lake offers a scenic paddling destination with a maximum depth of 30 feet and low water clarity. The lake supports a healthy fishery including Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Panfish, making it popular with anglers. Beyond the lake itself, paddlers can explore connections to Fourteenmile Creek and nearby Wisconsin River islands in the Wisconsin Rapids area, which features extensive paddling opportunities across Wisconsin's renowned river system.
The county park facilities include a public beach area along with the boat landing, providing a complete recreational setup for a day on the water. Plan accordingly for the low water clarity when paddling, and consider the varied terrain and wildlife typical of central Wisconsin's lake and creek systems.
