About This Access Site
Arthur Bay is a popular boat ramp located on the north shore of Lake McConaughy, approximately 2 miles west of the dam off Highway 92 in Keith County. The ramp provides access to Nebraska's largest reservoir, known for its cool, clear waters and excellent fishing opportunities. A park vehicle sticker is required for entry. The ramp's usability is water-level dependent—Lake McConaughy's elevation must exceed the end-of-ramp elevation by at least 3 to 4 feet to ensure safe launching and adequate clearance.

This access point serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats seeking to explore the lake or fish for walleye, channel catfish, Northern pike, wiper, and smallmouth and white bass. Arthur Bay is home to Big Mac Marina and features nearby amenities including a fish cleaning station, making it a convenient hub for water recreation. Before launching, check current lake elevation conditions to confirm adequate water depth at the ramp, as water levels can fluctuate seasonally and affect access availability.
