About This Access Site
The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge offers boat ramp access to explore one of Florida's most important wetland ecosystems. Located west of Parkland in Palm Beach County, this refuge provides paddlers and boaters with opportunities to navigate the refuge's canal systems and observe diverse wildlife in a protected natural setting. The refuge features a dedicated canoe trail along with traditional boat ramps, making it suitable for both kayakers and motorized vessels.

**Access & Directions:** From I-95 (Exit 42) or the Florida Turnpike (Exit 71), take FL-869/Sawgrass Expressway South to Exit 18A, then merge onto US-441 North. Turn left on State Highway 827/Loxahatchee Road and follow signs to the boat ramps. Note that approximately 6.2 miles of Loxahatchee Road are under construction through early 2027—follow posted detour signs to reach the ramps.

**Facilities & Recreation:** The refuge offers boat ramps, a canoe trail, fishing from piers and the perimeter canal, portable restrooms, and observation towers. This is an excellent destination for wildlife viewing, particularly birdwatching. A valid refuge entrance pass is required. Check with the visitor center for current conditions, water levels, and specific canoe trail access information before your visit.
