About This Access Site
Located in East Cook, Cook County, this public boat ramp provides access to Aspen Lake, a 141-acre lake with a maximum depth of 29 feet. The launch is suitable for trailered boats up to 12-18 feet, with no launch fees required. The site offers parking for both day-use boaters and those planning to stay at nearby campgrounds.

Aspen Lake is popular with anglers and recreational boaters exploring the scenic Cook County area. The lake also provides boat access to East Twin Lake backcountry campsites managed by Recreation.gov—two first-come, first-served wilderness sites, each equipped with a fire grate, latrine, and picnic table. If planning an overnight trip to these remote sites, remember to hang food packs, treat or boil drinking water, and fully extinguish campfires before leaving. For paddlers and boaters seeking a quieter experience, nearby reservable campgrounds at Flour Lake and East Bearskin Lake offer additional options within 10 miles.
