Reams Landing is a public boat ramp providing access to the Aucilla River at Mile 24.4 in Taylor County, Florida. The facility is located on the Mt. Gilead Tract and offers a straightforward launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. To reach the ramp from Monticello, travel south on CR 257 to Lamont, cross U.S. 19, continue approximately 9 miles south crossing the Aucilla River, then turn left on Rocky Ford Cemetery Road and proceed 2 miles to the entrance on the left.
This is a stand-alone ramp facility owned and maintained by the government for general public use. The access point allows paddlers to explore the middle section of the Aucilla River, a peaceful blackwater river known for its scenic, naturalistic character. The ramp provides a good starting point for downstream paddling or day trips in this relatively undeveloped corridor of the river.
