Avalon Park offers convenient lake access on Lavon Lake (East Fork Trinity River) near Wylie, with two 4-lane boat ramps and a courtesy dock at the south ramp. The facility includes parking for vehicles and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A day-use fee applies, and annual passes are available. Located on the west shore of the lake below the dam, the park is accessed from Wylie by taking SH 78 east to FM 389 (Eubanks), then heading north; at the fork, bear right to continue to the park entrance.
