Back Bay

Back Bay is a concrete boat ramp providing access to Willow Flowage near Tripoli in Oneida County. This is a lesser-known landing that doesn't appear on most maps, making it a quieter alternative to the more popular dam-area landings on the flowage. The ramp accommodates kayaks, canoes, and motorboats, though it can be less reliable during low-water periods—if water levels are a concern, consider checking conditions first or using the more established east-side landings near the dam.

A Wisconsin state park sticker is required for parking in the lot. No launch fee is charged. The Willow Flowage is a popular recreational area with fishing, boating, and nearby camping and picnic facilities. Since Back Bay is a more secluded access point, you may want to call ahead or verify current conditions with local DNR staff before your trip to ensure the ramp is in usable condition.
