About This Access Site
Located in Conover, Vilas County, the Baker Lake public boat ramp provides convenient access to this 37-acre lake. The ramp features a moderate grade with concrete erosion protection blocks along the sides. The parking area has a slight slope and offers overnight parking options; however, overnight stays are discouraged at the immediate ramp parking area but available just down the hill. Note that there are no designated accessible parking spaces at this location.

Baker Lake has a maximum depth of 21 feet and supports populations of panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, making it suitable for fishing as well as recreational paddling and boating. The nearby Kulshan Campground offers additional amenities including campsites, RV dump station, restrooms, and porta potties for those planning extended visits. Multiple launch ramps exist on Baker Lake, so paddlers and boaters have several access options to choose from.
