Located in the southeast corner of Lake Bob Sandlin at the west end of Highway 1520 Bridge, Barefoot Bay Marina offers a well-maintained two-lane concrete ramp with dock access and gravel parking. To reach the ramp from Pittsburg, head west on Texas 11, turn north on FM 1520, travel approximately 4 miles, and look for the marina entrance on your right (north) after crossing Barefoot Bay. The ramp is situated in the southwest portion of the lake near the dam, making it a convenient launch point for accessing this mid-sized East Texas impoundment.
The marina provides additional amenities beyond the public ramp, including a convenience store, covered wet slips, and waterfront RV spaces for those planning extended visits. Lake Bob Sandlin also features two other free public boat ramps at county and state park locations around the lake, offering alternatives if this ramp is crowded. The calm lake waters are suitable for recreational kayaking, canoeing, and motorboats of various sizes.
