About This Access Site
Bark Camp Lake offers a convenient boat ramp for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. The lake is located within the Clinch Ranger District of the Jefferson National Forest, near the town of Coeburn, Virginia.

The boat ramp provides easy access to the 60-acre warm water lake, which is open to electric motors only. Visitors can also enjoy hiking trails, universally accessible fishing piers, and a campground with 34 sites. The relatively level terrain around the lake makes for easy paddling and wildlife viewing. No gasoline-powered boats are allowed.

This is a first-come, first-served recreation area. Visitors should be aware that the America the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes provide a 50% discount on the day use fee, but no other passes are valid. The George Washington & Jefferson National Forests Seasonal Day Use Pass is accepted and covers day use fees. Campsites at the adjacent Bark Camp Campground are reservable.
