The Barnegat Municipal Boat Basin offers a concrete boat ramp with adequate water depth maintained even at low tide, making it a reliable launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats accessing Barnegat Bay. Located at 10th & Bayview (with an alternate dock facility at 427 East Bay Avenue), the facility features ample parking and is well-maintained for easy launching. Daily launch fees apply, and dockmasters are on-site seasonally (April through September) to assist with boat launches, fishing permits, and crabbing permits.
Barnegat Bay is a calm, sheltered estuary ideal for paddling and recreational boating. The bay's clear, protected waters make it suitable for a range of skill levels, from beginner paddlers to experienced boaters exploring the bay's scenic shorelines. For more information about hours, current fees, and seasonal services, contact the Barnegat Township Parks & Recreation Department at 609-698-0080 Ext. 122.
