About This Access Site
Bartow-Carver Park offers a convenient boat ramp and access point to the Etowah River and Allatoona Lake. This federally managed recreation area is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Allatoona Lake facilities.

The boat ramp provides direct access to the Etowah River, which flows into the larger Allatoona Lake reservoir. Paddlers and boaters can use this site to launch small craft like kayaks, canoes, and trailered motorboats. The ramp and nearby parking make it easy to get on the water. However, there are no reservations or fees required to use the boat launch.

Nearby, the park also offers hiking trails, a disc golf course, and picnic facilities. Campsites and other boat ramps can be found around the shores of Allatoona Lake, which is a popular destination for recreational boating, fishing, and water sports. Paddlers should be prepared for potential boat traffic and larger powerboats when using the Etowah River access point at Bartow-Carver Park.
