About This Access Site
Bass Lake is a 416-acre recreational lake located near Drummond in Bayfield County, offering a well-developed public access point with two boat ramps and two courtesy docks. The paved launch facility includes a 17-vehicle parking lot (with one ADA-accessible space) and supports a variety of watercraft from kayaks and canoes to motorboats. With a maximum depth of 35 feet, Bass Lake is suitable for paddlers of various skill levels seeking a moderate-sized lake experience.

The site is managed by St. Croix County through a maintenance agreement with the Wisconsin DNR and operates with a daily launch fee of $10 (or $30 annually). The lake is known for panfish, northern pike, walleye, bass, and trout, making it popular with anglers as well as recreational paddlers. The nearby Two Lakes Campground offers additional amenities including swimming beaches and a fishing pier for those planning extended visits. The campground has drinking water, vault toilets and a dump station for RVs. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and grill.Natural Features
Two Lakes is adjacent to the Porcupine Lake Wilderness in
Chequamegon National Forest. The forest covers more than 1.5 million acres of Wisconsin's Northwoods.

Some of the Porcupine Lake Wilderness contains rolling hills covered with oak, maple, hemlock and white pine. The remainder of the area is fairly flat.
