About This Access Site
Bassett Lake is a 403-acre lake in scenic St. Louis County near Brimson, Minnesota, offering a peaceful setting for paddlers and anglers. The public boat ramp provides convenient access to the lake's calm waters, which reach a maximum depth of 21 feet. The access point includes a parking area and fishing dock, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats up to approximately 12-18 feet in length.

The Bassett Lake access area is reached via Trails End Road, which leads to a dedicated parking area and boat launch facility. Nearby Cadotte Lake Campground (located on adjacent Cadotte Lake) offers overnight camping accommodations and additional amenities if you're planning an extended visit. Cadotte Campground is in a wooded area with private sites, some of which have views of the lake and access to trails that lead to the water. Some campsites can accommodate RVs up to 45 ft. in length. The facility provides fishing areas, a boat ramp, dock and sandy beach.
