About This Access Site
Batterson Park Pond offers a convenient boat launch for small boats, kayaks, and canoes in New Britain, Connecticut. The concrete boat ramp is 20 feet wide and provides access to the 40-acre pond. This shallow, flat water body is well-suited for casual paddling, fishing, and wildlife viewing.

The boat launch area has a gravel parking lot that can accommodate up to 25 vehicles. There are no docks or restrooms at this site, but it does provide a nice spot to easily get your small watercraft onto the water. A 10 horsepower motor limit is in place, making Batterson Park Pond ideal for human-powered boating.

While the pond itself is modest in size, it's surrounded by the larger Batterson Park, which offers hiking trails and scenic natural areas to explore. With its convenient location and relaxed atmosphere, this boat launch is a great option for local paddlers and anglers looking for a peaceful excursion close to home.
