Bay Park North is a primitive sand boat ramp located in Bonita Springs on Big Hickory Pass in Estero Bay, offering convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and small boats. This is a no-fee, public access point best suited for paddlers and smaller watercraft rather than larger trailered boats. The ramp features a sand/gravel surface in good condition with nearby gravel parking available. To find the site, drive north on Hickory Boulevard toward Big Hickory Seafood Grille and Marina—the ramp is tucked at the base of the bridge on the east side of Hickory Boulevard.
The location provides access to Big Hickory Pass and Estero Bay, a scenic estuary area ideal for kayaking and canoeing. Nearby paddlers can explore the Matlacha Pass National Wildlife Refuge, where mangrove islands offer excellent wildlife viewing and roosting habitat for birds. This is primarily a hand-launch facility designed for non-motorized and small motorized craft, making it an accessible option for kayakers and canoeists seeking exploration of Lee County's coastal waterways. The ramp operates from dawn to dusk with no facilities or amenities on-site.
