About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** This boat ramp is located on the downstream side of Bayou Bodcau Dam in Bossier Parish, providing direct access to Bayou Bodcau Reservoir. The site is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, and includes a convenient free life jacket loaner station for visitor safety.

**Water Conditions & Recreation:** Bayou Bodcau is a flood-control project with no permanent pool, meaning water levels fluctuate seasonally depending on management needs. The waterway stretches nearly 30 miles from the Arkansas-Louisiana state line southward through a narrow corridor averaging 1.5 miles wide. This is an excellent area for paddlers and anglers interested in exploring a major waterfowl and upland game management area. Before launching, check current water conditions and dam operations, as seasonal fluctuations may affect navigation and water levels.

**For More Information:** Contact the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries at 318.371.3050 or jjohnson@wlf.la.gov for details about water conditions, access restrictions, or hunting/fishing regulations in the Bodcau Wildlife Management Area.
