Bayou Patout

**Location & Access:** Bayou Patout boat ramp is located in Lydia, Iberia Parish, accessed via Highway 71. The ramp provides convenient access to Bayou Patout and the surrounding bayou system in south-central Louisiana.

**Paddling Opportunities:** This access point is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore a scenic 12-mile loop route. Paddlers can launch here and follow the bayou system, which varies significantly in width—ranging from several hundred feet across to narrow passages just a couple of boat lengths wide. The route takes you through natural bayou channels near Weeks Island and the Shell oil field. The calm, slow-moving water typical of bayou systems makes this suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels.

**Facilities:** The site includes one boat ramp and approximately 40 parking spots. Amenities appear minimal, so plan accordingly—restrooms and other facilities may not be available on-site.
