Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park

Beaufort Dock provides convenient public access to the Beaufort River in downtown Beaufort, SC. This facility features a modern floating dock and boat ramp, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small recreational boats. With 20 parking spaces (12 paved, 8 unpaved), the ramp is relatively compact but well-maintained.

Paddlers can use this access point to explore the Beaufort River and its connected waterways, including Jenkins Creek and Morgan River. The facility is located near the Chechessee River Bridge on SC 170, putting it in a central location for accessing local paddling routes. Note that there are mooring restrictions—vessels cannot anchor within 200 feet of the Day Dock. Check current conditions and tide levels before launching, as water levels and access may vary seasonally.

The dock's proximity to downtown Beaufort also makes it convenient for accessing nearby attractions, including Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge and Reconstruction Era National Historical Park, offering paddlers both recreation and cultural exploration opportunities.
