About This Access Site
Beaver Cove Marina is the largest full-service marina on Moosehead Lake, located approximately six miles northeast of Greenville in Piscataquis County. The facility offers a dedicated boat launch ramp along with seasonal and daily slip rentals, making it a convenient access point for paddlers and motorboaters exploring Maine's largest lake. Additional amenities include boat repair and service, ethanol-free fuel, and on-site lodging.

Paddlers should be aware that shallow areas exist in several bays and coves around the lake; hazard buoys mark obstacles beginning 200 feet from shore. Water levels typically drop significantly by late fall—often three feet or more—which may affect navigation in shallower areas. The large, open waters of Moosehead Lake can experience variable conditions, so be prepared for changing weather and water surface conditions.
