About This Access Site
Ben Cash Memorial Conservation Area offers a boat ramp on the St. Francis River in Senath, providing access to a scenic 1,449-acre bottomland hardwood forest and swamp ecosystem. The conservation area is primarily accessible by boat, making it an ideal launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring this natural lowland habitat. The area supports a variety of fish species including spotted bass, catfish, crappie, buffalo, carp, and sunfish, making it attractive for anglers as well.

**Important considerations:** The St. Francis River floodplain is subject to frequent flooding, and water access conditions can vary significantly with water levels. Paddlers should be prepared for variable conditions and check water levels before planning trips. Motorized boats are permitted, and waterfowl hunting by boat is allowed when water levels reach or exceed 15.5 feet on the Holly Island Gauge during designated seasons. Note that camping, open fires, and swimming are prohibited at this site. Visitors should pack out all trash and respect the conservation area's natural resources.
