Bennett Spring Access

**Location & Facilities**
Bennett Spring Access is a popular launch point on the Niangua River in Dallas County, Missouri, managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation on 178 acres. The site features two concrete boat ramps, ample parking, and multiple privies. Day-use only. To reach the access from Lebanon, take Highway 5 east for 1.5 miles and follow signs to Bennett Springs.

**River Character & Paddling**
This is considered the premier section of the Niangua River for both paddling and trout fishing, featuring the best rapids on the system. The river supports healthy populations of brown and rainbow trout that are regularly stocked. Bennett Spring Access serves as the upper launch point for popular float trips downriver, with the next major access point at Moon Valley Access (approximately 3.7 miles downstream via gravel ramp). Paddlers can expect a scenic float through a section known for good current and whitewater.

This is a heavily-used access point, particularly on weekends. The concrete ramps are well-maintained and suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats.
