About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Benson Creek Boat Ramp is located off Benson Valley Road in Frankfort, Franklin County, just upstream of the US 127 twin bridges. From US 127 in Frankfort's city limits, take Highway 1211 and turn right on Benson Valley Road. The ramp provides excellent access to Kentucky River Pool 4 and is considered the best public boat launch in Frankfort.

**Facilities & Conditions:** This free ramp features a well-maintained, non-slick ribbed surface suitable for launching various boat sizes, including larger vessels. Amenities include ample parking, a courtesy dock, and garbage cans. The creek is deep enough to accommodate larger boats, and a full-service marina is located nearby for additional services.

**Paddling Conditions:** The Kentucky River in this area is a popular recreational waterway that meanders through Kentucky's bluegrass region, offering a navigable channel for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Lock and Dam 4 is located downstream from the launch site. This area provides good recreational boating opportunities with relatively easy access to the main river channel.
