The Berkeley Marina Yacht Club provides a boat ramp and dock access to San Francisco Bay for kayakers, canoeists, and small powerboats. The facility offers 30 parking spaces for vehicles with trailers, 3 boarding floats, and 4 carry-down walkways. It is located on the east end of the famous "Slot" in the bay, known for its steady sea breezes.
While the docks and ramp are currently inaccessible, the shoreside facilities including paths, sidewalks, restrooms, and parking appear to be well-maintained and ADA accessible. Paddlers and boaters can enjoy the scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and access the greater San Francisco Bay from this location. The marina has a dry storage capacity of 77 boats with a minimum length of 18 feet and a maximum of 85 feet.
Nearby recreational areas include the John Muir National Historic Site and the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, offering opportunities for further exploration and wildlife viewing around the East Bay. Campsites within 10 miles are also available at Rob Hill Group Campground, Rob Hill Campground, and Kirby Cove Campground for those looking to extend their visit.
