Big Bend 3 is a boat ramp access point on Canton Lake, a 7,910-acre reservoir on the North Canadian River located 2 miles north of Canton in Dewey County. This site offers convenient launch access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the lake's extensive waters. The ramp is managed as part of Canton Lake's four public boat launch facilities, which are maintained by the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
**Important Access Information:** Day-use visitors must possess a valid day-use pass to use the boat ramp (annual passes and daily passes are available). The lake reaches depths of 35+ feet, making it suitable for a variety of watercraft and paddling skill levels. The surrounding area features natural Oklahoma vegetation including cottonwood, oak, and willow trees. Nearby Canton Lake also offers full-service camping with 102 RV hookup sites, restrooms with flush toilets and showers, picnic shelters, and additional amenities like disc golf.
For paddlers interested in a more primitive experience, Canton Wildlife Management Area provides alternative access to the North Canadian River. Plan your visit accordingly and check current conditions before launching.
