Located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain between Slidell and Mandeville in St. Tammany Parish, this canal access point provides entry to Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. The ramp offers approximately 2 miles of straight canal access to Lake Pontchartrain, making it a straightforward paddling route for kayakers and canoeists heading to the lake. This access point is ideal for exploring the refuge's protected waters.

Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge encompasses approximately 1,500 acres of piney woods, bayous, and marshes that support diverse wildlife and provide excellent paddling opportunities.
