This public boat landing provides access to Big McKenzie Lake, a 1,129-acre lake located on the border of Washburn and Burnett Counties near Spooner, Wisconsin. The ramp is conveniently located on the northeast end of the lake directly off County Road E. With a maximum depth of 71 feet, the lake offers good water conditions for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating.
**Planning Your Visit:** Note that the launch and parking areas are on opposite sides of County Road E, so plan accordingly when unloading your vessel. The lake supports a healthy fishery with Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, and Sturgeon, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers. The large surface area provides plenty of room for exploration and various activity types.
