Big Roche A Cri Lake is a 217-acre recreational lake in Adams County near Friendship, Wisconsin, offering public boat access via two designated ramps—one on the north side just east of Highway 13 and another on the northwest end of the lake. The lake has a maximum depth of 20 feet with a bottom composed primarily of sand and silt from the creek, along with some rock features. This is a multi-use recreational lake suitable for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and motorized boating, though paddlers should be aware that no-wake rules apply after 6:00 pm.
The lake supports a healthy fishery with panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye, making it popular with anglers. Aquatic vegetation is actively managed through seasonal harvesting, which helps maintain navigation channels. Both boat ramps accommodate small to mid-size vessels, making them accessible for most paddlers and recreational boaters. Visitors should check current Wisconsin DNR regulations for any fishing restrictions or updates to wake rules before heading out.
