About This Access Site
Big Round Lake is a 1,014-acre inland lake in Polk County near Luck, Wisconsin, offering a convenient public boat ramp for kayakers, canoeists, and small boats. The developed access features a concrete boat launch with parking available and pit toilets on-site. With a maximum depth of 17 feet and low water clarity, this lake is well-suited for paddlers of all skill levels, including first-time boaters. The short access approach (less than 50 yards) makes launching straightforward and hassle-free.

The lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, and panfish, making it popular with anglers as well. The surrounding area offers additional recreational opportunities—a scenic 3.5-mile hiking trail circles the lake with wildlife viewing opportunities, and there are picnic areas and a swimming beach nearby.
