About This Access Site
Bill's Landing is a public boat ramp on Toledo Bend Reservoir along the Sabine River in Shelby County, Texas. Located off FM 3315, approximately 5 miles east of TX Highway 87, the facility features a two-lane ramp suitable for all boat types, including kayaks and canoes. The ramp is operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas and is open year-round; a day-use fee is required. For specific current information on hours, fees, and conditions, contact the Sabine River Authority at (409) 565-2273.

The Sabine River is a major waterway with significant flow characteristics—the system averages over 9,100 cubic feet per second with an average velocity of nearly 6 feet per second. At this location on Toledo Bend Reservoir, paddlers will find a large impoundment offering calmer conditions than the free-flowing river itself. With approximately 33 public access areas on the Texas side of the reservoir, Bill's Landing is one of the primary launch points in the region, making it a convenient starting point for exploring this 519-mile river system.
