Located in Somerville within Birch Creek State Park, this facility features two-lane boat ramps capable of handling all boat types, a courtesy dock, vehicle parking, and a cleaning station. A restroom and nearby campsite make this a practical launching point for day trips or extended paddling adventures.
The calm waters of Somerville Lake are ideal for paddlers of all skill levels, with plenty of space to explore by kayak or canoe. In addition to Birch Creek's facilities, the lake offers eleven total access points and two private marinas, giving you flexibility for where to launch or take out. A fishing jetty at Birch Creek and proximity to scenic trails like the Bluebonnet Trails and Independence Day Trek make this a good base for combining water recreation with other outdoor activities.
