Birdman Road

Birdman Road provides the primary public access to Quemahoning Reservoir, a scenic 900-acre impoundment in Somerset County's Appalachian region. Located at the Que Family Recreation Area near Randolph, this boat ramp serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to explore the expansive reservoir waters. The access point is situated conveniently off Quemahoning Dam Road, making it straightforward to locate and use.

The recreation area is a full-service facility offering more than just boat launch capabilities—it includes a campground and additional recreational amenities. A second boat launch is currently in development to provide access to both ends of the reservoir, which will offer paddlers more flexibility in planning their routes. This is an ideal spot for a half or full-day paddle on calm reservoir waters, and the presence of camping facilities makes it convenient for multi-day trips or weekend getaways.
