About This Access Site
Black Brush Point offers a convenient concrete boat ramp on the east side of the campground, providing access to Amistad Reservoir near Del Rio. The ramp is located beneath the US 90 bridge and can be reached by taking Spur 349 toward Amistad Dam, then turning right at the first opportunity. This is an official access point within Amistad National Recreation Area, the U.S. portion of the International Amistad Reservoir.

The facility includes amenities suited for day-use visitors and paddlers, including parking for both vehicles and boat trailers, picnic tables, grills, and wheelchair accessibility. An information kiosk is available on-site. The ramp services one of Texas's largest freshwater reservoirs, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. For extended trips, three campgrounds are located within 10 miles, including Governors Landing and Rough Canyon. Visit the National Park Service website for current information on camping facilities, fees, and any seasonal closures or conditions.
