About This Access Site
**Black Water Lake** is a 767-acre public access site located on Blackwater Lake in Longville, Cass County, Minnesota. The DNR-managed access features a concrete boat ramp on the north shore of the east bay, accessible via County Road 11. This is a solid option for kayakers, canoeists, and small to mid-sized motorboats looking to explore the lake.

The lake reaches a maximum depth of 67 feet and supports a healthy fishery including northern pike, walleye, bluegill, crappie, and both largemouth and smallmouth bass. Most standard recreational boats (12-18 feet) can be launched here. There are no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required, so check current access conditions through Minnesota DNR's Lake Finder before your visit.

**Getting Started:** Head to the north shore access point off County Road 11. The concrete ramp accommodates typical recreational watercraft. Whether you're paddling for recreation or fishing, this is a straightforward, well-maintained access point to a solid-sized lake in scenic north-central Minnesota.
